Rick Nogal joined Goldstine, Skrodzki, Russian, Nemec and Hoff, Ltd. as a partner in 2002. Rick began his legal career at the Chicago firm of Jenner & Block. He has successfully litigated a diverse array of complex commercial matters, including business torts, restrictive covenants, estate, franchise, insurance, intellectual property, real estate, contracts, shareholder, and construction disputes. He counsels clients on business issues, dispute resolution and litigation at all levels of trial and appellate courts, the Supreme Court of Illinois, and arbitration tribunals. Rick has published articles and spoken at seminars related to remedies for former-employer competition, non-compete agreements and construction-industry litigation.

Rick is actively involved in his community. He has served as a leader in several organizations, including Chairman of the Board of Directors of Palos Community Hospital, member of the Board of Education and President of the Palos Community Consolidated School District 118, member of the Board of Education and Vice President of Consolidated High School District 230, Commissioner of the Palos Fire Protection District, Chairman of Our Lady of the Woods Parish Council, Orland Park, and a member of the Board of Directors of A.J. Smith Federal Savings Bank. Rick is an active member of the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce.

Rick is also active in the legal community and has written articles and presented on such topics as:
