Sara Spitler has been associated with Goldstine, Skrodzki, Russian, Nemec and Hoff, Ltd. since 2004 and is a member of the firm's litigation team. Sara concentrates on probate litigation, including probate of estates, will contests, trustee disputes, and proceedings to recover estate assets, and real estate/construction litigation. Sara also has substantial experience handling other commercial and civil litigation matters, including breach of contract claims, labor and employment disputes, and business disputes. She counsels and advocates for clients through all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, settlement negotiations, trial or arbitration, and post-judgment proceedings.

Sara has handled cases in Cook County as well as DuPage, Kane, Will, Lake, McHenry, and Kendall counties. She also has experience with numerous state and federal agencies, including the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Illinois Human Rights Commission, the Illinois Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, the Illinois Labor Relations Board, and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. Sara has substantial experience representing the firm's clients in appellate proceedings before the Illinois Appellate Courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

During her time at the firm, Sara has argued or otherwise made substantial contributions to dozens of successful substantive motions. She was instrumental in obtaining summary judgment in favor of a long-standing client of the firm against a party claiming an interest in the client's business ventures and seeking in excess of $1 million in damages. The award of summary judgment was affirmed by the Appellate Court of Illinois.
