Clients are counseled on the principles of estate planning, including: the available alternatives for their estates; planning for disability; the complex principles of estate, gift and income tax laws; and options to plan their estates in the most tax efficient manner. Clients are advised of the various techniques, including: living trusts; utilizing the marital deduction and exemption equivalent; lifetime giving using family limited partnerships; LLCs; charitable remainder trusts; and irrevocable insurance trusts. Clients are also counseled on planning for disability and the use of powers of attorney for health care and for property and living trusts.
