The practice of law allows me to use my training and experience to assist clients through many varied, difficult and stressful situations. My practice goal is to help clients clearly understand their situations and to work closely with them in developing and implementing strategies that will allow them to achieve the best possible result.
Kenn Nemec has been associated with Goldstine, Skrodzki, Russian, Nemec and Hoff, Ltd. since 1980, a partner since 1986 and has served as its President since 2022. Kenn provides advice and guidance to business clients on a wide variety of legal and business matters, including business planning, implementation of legal strategies designed to minimize risk and liability, and negotiation and resolution of disputes involving varied commercial, financial, construction and business ownership matters. Depending on the particular issue a client wants addressed, Kenn also acts as a liaison to other members of the firm whose practice area may be more appropriate for a client's specific situation.
Kenn is currently and has been a member of several professional organizations, including the Business Law, Taxation and Construction Law Forum Sections of the American Bar Association, the Corporation, Securities and Business Law, Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy and Construction Law Sections of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Attorneys for Family-Held Enterprises, the Family Firm Institute, and the South Suburban Estate Planning Council. Additionally, Kenn has served as past President, member of the Board of Governors and Chairman of the Judiciary Evaluation Committee of the West Suburban Bar Association. His charitable and community activities include serving as past Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of the United Service Organizations of Illinois; past President, member and Building Committee Chairman of the Our Lady of Peace School Board, Darien; member of the Board of Directors of the Loras Club of Chicago; and member of the Executive Committee of the Loras College Martin P. Corrigan Scholarship Fund. Kenn was a 2015 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from Loras College. Kenn was also a 2019 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from The John Marshall Law School. Kenn has earned Illinois Super Lawyers designation in the area of General Business, a Leading Lawyers designation in the area of Closely & Privately Held Business Law and a member of Lawyers of Distinction in the areas of corporate and transactional law. He was also selected by West Suburban Living Magazine as one of the "Top Attorneys in the Western Suburbs" and the Daily Herald Business Ledger as a Leading Suburban Business Lawyer.
