Richard J. Nogal

Rick Nogal joined Goldstine, Skrodzki, Russian, Nemec and Hoff, Ltd. as a partner in 2002. Rick began his legal career at the Chicago firm of Jenner & Block. He has successfully litigated a diverse array of complex commercial matters, including business torts, restrictive covenants, corporate, estate, franchise, insurance, intellectual property, real estate, contracts, shareholder, and construction disputes. He counsels clients on business issues, dispute resolution and litigation at all levels of trial and appellate courts, the Supreme Court of Illinois, and arbitration tribunals. Rick has published articles and spoken at industry and legal education seminars related to remedies for employee breaches of fiduciary duty, non-compete agreements, construction-industry litigation, and damages in commercial litigation.
Rick is actively involved in his community. He has served as a leader in several organizations, including Chairman of the Board of Directors of Palos Community Hospital, member of the Board of Education and President of the Palos Community Consolidated School District 118, member of the Board of Education and President of Consolidated High School District 230, Trustee and Commissioner of the Palos Fire Protection District, Chairman of Our Lady of the Woods Parish Council, Orland Park, member of the Board of Directors of the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Chicago, member of the Board of Directors of A.J. Smith Federal Savings Bank, and member of the Board of Directors of First Secure Bank & Trust Co. Rick was recognized as the 2018 Outstanding School Board President for the State of Illinois by the Illinois State Board of Education. He has been named a Leading Lawyer and recognized as one of the nation's top commercial litigators.
Rick is also active in the legal community and has written articles and presented on such topics as:
