Meika Slotsema joined Goldstine, Skrodzki, Russian, Nemec and Hoff, Ltd. in 2025 with over 20 years of practice spanning both private practice and nonprofit sectors. She brings a wealth of experience in estate planning, estate administration, and non-profit law. Meika believes that estate planning is more than just legal work—it is a thoughtful process to ensure families are prepared for the future.
Specializing in creating personalized estate plans, Meika works closely with clients to design wills, trusts, and gifting strategies tailored to their unique circumstances. Whether it is a simple plan to provide peace of mind for loved ones or a more complex strategy for wealth preservation and charitable giving, Meika partners with financial advisors and other professionals to craft plans for each client to maximize tax savings and create a legacy for generations to come.
Her expertise includes complex trust formation, tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, business succession planning, charitable giving, estate and trust administration, and probate matters.
Meika has worked with organizations including the Alzheimer’s Association and Big Shoulders Fund and now provides counsel to nonprofit organizations, assisting with obtaining tax-exempt status, state and federal registrations, contract negotiation, and compliance with nonprofit law.
Meika has served on the boards of Unity Christian Academy and Bright Promise Fund. She also volunteers with Wills for Heroes and actively contributes to numerous other charities and associations. Meika is a member of the DuPage Estate Planning Council, Chicago Estate Planning Council and the Professional Women’s Club of Chicago.
