

Richard J. Skrodzki

Rick Skrodzki has been associated with Goldstine, Skrodzki, Russian, Nemec and Hoff, Ltd. since 1977, a partner since 1984 and served as its Managing Partner and President from 2008 to 2018. Rick started at the firm as a law clerk while in law school when the firm consisted of only two attorneys, and now he leads the firm's Land Use and Development and Local Government practice areas. Within these areas, Rick represents clients before local government staffs, public hearing commissions and boards, and city and village elected officials to secure land entitlement approvals. This work includes all forms of zoning amendments, annexation agreements and government incentive benefits, including sales tax sharing agreements and extensive tax increment financing matters. Rick has represented local governments as village attorney, prosecutor and special counsel. He also represents clients in commercial real estate matters, including purchases, sales, leasing and financing.
Rick has been a presenter at the Illinois Municipal League's annual conference and at continuing legal education seminars. He has served as Chair of the Chicago Bar Association's Local Government and Public Affairs Committees. He is a past member of the Chicago Bar Association's Board of Managers and is a charter member of the Illinois Institute of Local Government Lawyers. Rick is active in the community and has previously served as a member and Chair of the Western Springs Economic Development Commission, President of the Catholic Charities Guild Board of Directors, President of the Illinois Junior Golf Association, and as President of LaGrange Country Club. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Junior Golf Association, and as a Governor of the Chicago District Golf Association.
