William M. Brennan
I am passionate about assisting clients with advancement of their real estate and business needs and goals while counseling and protecting them from the associated risks.
Bill Brennan has been associated with Goldstine, Skrodzki, Russian, Nemec and Hoff, Ltd since 2004 and a partner since 2015. He leads the firm's comprehensive real estate practice and counsels commercial and residential property owners and developers regarding the acquisition and disposition of retail, office, residential and industrial properties, including tax-deferred, like-kind, traditional and reverse 1031 exchanges. He also works extensively with commercial landlord and tenant clients on leasing matters.
Bill has represented many clients in multi-million dollar transactions ranging from retail shopping center purchases to multi-tenant office building sales, with several handled as tax-deferred exchanges. He has represented tenants in build-to-suit lease negotiations with national commercial property owners and assisted landlords of industrial, retail and office properties with lease negotiations and preparation.
In addition to his active role in the firm, Bill has served on the Board of Directors of Respite House, a home that provides short-term medical care to medically-fragile children, and is an Honorary Board Member of Giant Steps of Illinois, a school and training center for children and adults with autism. Bill was also a volunteer coach for ten years with the American Youth Soccer Organization and is an active supporter of the athletic, music and theatre programs at Hinsdale Central High School. Bill began his carrer as an Assistant Public Defender in Cook County and is a founding member of the Public Interest Law Initiative program at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
